You In The City (with a twist)

The third blog post of the month will typically be my favorite style inspirations I've stumbled across on YOU in the city!  With this crazy cold weather we've been having everyone is bundled up in as many layers as they can possibly find, so instead I'll be highlighting my three favorite celebrity styles of the year so far!  These three fashion mavens are definitely the ones to watch in 2014!  From every day glam, to red carpet fierceness they are already killing it in the new year!

I know, I know, this chic has had her hits and misses, but she has absolutely found her happy place in fashion so far this year!  She's stuck with monochromatic outfits and fabulous over sized coats, and it is working for her!

This guy is on fire in 2014!  Not only is he winning Golden Globes, but he is taking more fashion risks than any other man on the red carpet, and they are paying off!  His red carpet style is reminiscent of the rat pack era with a modern twist!  Who knew he could look so good with his shirt on!  :)

If you don't know who she is you better look her up, because she is the next big thing in Hollywood fashion after her constant flawless looks so far this year.  Nobody can deny this woman is gorgeous and her ability to choose the most breathtaking looks to walk the red carpet every time is shooting her to stardom!

I can't wait to see what these three pull off next!  Take some inspiration from these red carpet looks and rock your own Style In the City this month!

3 Hearts Boutique: Designer In The City

For anyone out there who is looking for a "Fabulous, Exquisite, Outstanding, One of a Kind, Delicious, Breathtaking, Stunning, Brilliant" piece of jewelry for someone special I have the answer today in this blog!  My good friends at 3 Hearts Boutique can make your dreams come true!  I know it sounds a bit unbelievable, but they really can!  That's what they do!
The perfect pop of color necklace!

This sister duo started 3 Hearts Boutique in 2010. They are a trendy boutique that specializes in luxurious & elegant jewelry that is both affordable & beautiful.  My favorite part is that they can help to create the design you have in your head!  "As full service private jewelers, Shelly & Molly will work one-on-one with anyone's budget to help make his or her dreams come true. They offer no pressure buying & competitive pricing that will beat any online source. Whether your needs are simple or you prefer their custom design service, they will work with you to create beautiful pieces with the finest materials including only certified diamonds."  They make AMAZING engagement rings, as well as gorgeous pieces of jewelry to fit any budget!  You can take my word for it, I have been selling their pieces to my lucky clients for years and I am currently working very closely with them on my own wedding jewelry!  (AH, I can not wait to show you what we've designed for my big day!  :)

I must say, one major thing that makes them stand out above all the rest is their insanely friendly personalities!  They make the process so comfortable and relaxing while making you feel like you've gained two new best friends along the way, and lets face it, when it comes to purchasing special jewelry, don't you want your best friend there to help you make all the right decisions!?

As if they can't get any more perfect, Shelly and Molly often design pieces to raise money for foundations.  "We love helping in anyway & sometimes making pieces for foundations gives a new meaning or brings new awareness from the piece of Jewelry that we designed."
"3 Hearts Boutique has teamed up with American Cancer Society Women's Leadership Circle to help & support other women. The leadership circle is an influential network of like-minded, forward thinking women who have united with a common goal to further the American Cancer Society's mission to save more lives & to lessen the suffering from cancer.   3 Hearts Boutique is proud to offer a new bracelet: Compassion in Action. The design of this bracelet symbolizes the power & beauty of WARRIORS everywhere & reflects the grace & compassion embodied by those women who have been affected. The intertwining ribbons remind us that all woman need to stick together to help find a cure. Each bracelet costs $100 & 20% will go directly to the American Cancer Society's Women's Leadership Circle."

Some of the hottest trends in their jewelry line right now are the initial pieces!  The engraved gold plate necklaces are my favorite!  It is such a perfect way to personalize a gift, and I'm in love with the length of a delicate decolletage necklaces that sits right near your neck bones for every day wear!  It has a subtle sex appeal!

A signature concept of 3 Hearts pieces is the layering options of mixed metal pieces like silver, gold, and my personal favorite, rose gold!  You can often get any of their designs in any or all of your favorite metal combinations!

3 Hearts Boutique can help you give the gift of your dreams!  If you're looking for something specific or need help finding the perfect piece for you or someone you love!  The Shopping Girl XOXO showroom has a constantly changing assortment of gorgeous 3 Hearts pieces at all time, so set up an appointment today!  (Perfect designs for Valentine's Day gifts!  *hint hint*)

I am in love with the fact that I get to seek out awesome boutiques in this beautiful city for my job!  As a personal stylist who focuses on supporting local boutiques, it is really important for me to find quality shops!  Just as every client is different and looking for something special that fits their style, every boutique I work with has something unique and special to offer--so I love hunting for the perfect match with my clients and boutiques!  I'm so excited to start this blog concept off so that I can spread the word to my readers of the hot spots in Chicago that you cannot miss!
I'm beyond excited to highlight Cerato Boutique first!  Cerato was founded just under 4 years ago in the middle of the Southport Corridor.  The first time I stepped foot in Cerato, I fell in love!  The atmosphere is so cozy and tranquil with its gorgeous high ceilings, massive dressing rooms, and the exposed brick and leaf-like wall paper!  I can't get enough of the ambiance of the store, and the clothing makes it all even better!

Cerato's has a vast assortment of statement party dresses, super flattering work to evening out looks, sexy blazers and jackets, and tons of basic cozy pieces mixed through out!  The overall vibe of Cerato's clothing screams classic elegance with a twist and the owner, Tracey Glibowski, represents the style to a "T"!

Whenever I get a chance to meet with Tracey, she always looks amazing in super cute outfits that she rocks with ease!  The last time we met up she was wearing a subtle camo skinny from Henry & Belle (she says, "the most comfortable and most amazing looking denim we’ve ever seen or worn!") with a perfectly slouchy, grey KLD sweater and a long mixed metal necklace!  Her sweet, friendly, and helpful personality just adds to the awesomeness of this place!

Yolanda Baraschi Dress!

I love a boutique with a range of price points and styles, which Cerato is all about!  They have amazing pieces ranging in price from $40-$350, so there truly is something for everyone!  I can't get enough of  Yoana Baraschi's power woman pieces. If you want to get noticed for all the right reasons when walking into a business meeting or a special event, these are the pieces to invest in!!  I'm also obsessed with Tracy Reese's print and color combos!  Oxmo is a great brand for classic and comfortable basics with a twist at a price point that wont break the bank!

Anna Hovet Dress!
One of my favorite things about Cerato is that they mix in tons of amazing local designers!  Sophia Reyes is that go-to look in silky elegance that every woman should have!  Tracy is happy to tell you she is, "One of my favorite designers, ...I have a closet full of her beautiful silk dresses and tops.  The quality is amazing and has such an original, but classic look that they are my go to pieces when I have an event and I don’t know what to wear.  Anna Hovet is an adorable local designer who makes the most comfortable sweatshirt pieces, from casual day separates to throw on with out a zipper jersey dresses (who doesn't love that?)!

As for accessories, all of Cerato's jewelry and purses are locally made!  "Our jewelry style is every day pieces that just add a little something special to your outfit." Ali's collection is a funky local jewelry line that everyone should check out!  If you're looking for the perfect statement piece, she has just the one for you!

Ali's Collection statement necklace!

Don't take my word for it, grab some friends and head into Cerato to take advantage of their winter sale going on now-- 30-70% off select pieces!  AND, if you mention Style In The City you'll get 20% off any full priced items!  Do yourself a favor and add Cerato Boutique to your 2014 shopping list!!
Cerato will be launching their ecommerce site the week of January 20th!  Perfect for out of town visitors and customers who can’t make it to the store and need that perfect outfit.

Braving the cold to get my interview on!  :)

I am beyond excited about 2014 and all of the amazing things life has in store for me!  I truly feel like it will be the best year of my life!  With my wedding to (sorry for the cheesiness) the man of my dreams in August and a business that I love every minuet of running, it's going to be a busy, full, exciting, love filled, fashion overflowing year!

I'm not gonna lie, I was clearly putting Style In The City on the back burner over the last few months due to an awesomely packed Fall/Winter of styling clients!  But, one of my main resolutions of 2014 is to really focus on my blog and keeping my readers up to date on my "favorite's"!  I'm doing a Style In The City revamp and have decided to focus each week of the month on one of the main questions I am often asked through Shopping Girl XOXO!

I pride my business as a Chicago based stylist on really getting to know my clients on a personal level and bringing out their best style!  I do this through working and supporting other local business' and designers which in turn helps my clients to look unique and unlike everyone else walking down Michigan Ave!

I'm often asked what my favorite local boutiques are, who my favorite local designers are, who my style inspiration comes from, and what I'm obsessed with at the moment!  So, each month I will highlight a new favorite boutique of mine, a new favorite designer of mine, street style that inspires me (of Chicago-ans on the go in their every day life rocking awesome fashion!), and my newest obsessions!

WEEK 1:  Boutiques In The City
WEEK 2:  Designers In The City
WEEK 3:  You In The City
WEEK 4:  Obsessions In The City

If you would like to be highlighted in an upcoming blog, or know of someone who you think would be awesome for the blog please contact me!

Keep your eyes out for the first Boutiques In The City blog coming early next week!
